I visited Louise Bourgeois in her home in New York in 2007. It was at her salon on a Sunday. I was asked to take a painting to show her. it was something I had wanted to do for years. There were about twelve of us in the room. A Brazilian woman acted out a play of Louise's relationship with her father from a ladder in the middle of her sitting room. Louise had written the script for the Brazilian woman. We took turns to talk about our work, there were painters from all over the world and we followed this with an open discussion about the work.
